To complete this work safely and efficiently, portions of 1 Avenue N.E. will be closed in stages over the coming weeks.We anticipate the new lane closure and parking changes will begin Friday, May 9, 2025, and will remain in effect for the duration of this stage of the construction (expected to be roughly 8 weeks).

To complete the work, there will be a full closure of the 1 Ave N.E. and 6 St. N.E. intersection for approximately 1 week. Work will begin the week of March 24, 2025. Construction is expected to last 4 weeks.

Read MoreThe 4th Avenue Flyover will need to fully close temporarily to complete repairs sustained by a vehicular incident. A section of the bridge’s barriers and rails sustained damage in the incident and require repairs, however the bridge is still safe to use.
The bridge will fully close overnight for two days:
February 13th beginning at 9 pm until February 14th at 5 am, and
February 14th beginning at 9 pm, until February 15th at 5 am.
Phase Two of the Inglewood Sanitary Trunk (IST) project is underway, with an anticipated completion date of July 2025.
In order to successfully complete this project, crews will have to close the righthand (south lane) of Memorial Drive eastbound between the Bridgeland C-train station and Baines Bridge (Zoo bridge). Traffic will be detoured to the centre and lefthand lane (north lane) for the duration of this work. It is anticipated that this work will take approximately six months to complete.
