2025 Right Tree, Right Location: in-person Workshops Open for Registration
Thanks to generations of tree-loving citizens, Calgary is a city of green, with over 1.5 million trees in our urban forest.
Did you know that over half our city’s trees are located on private land? We want to help Calgarians plant new trees, while also properly caring for the ones we already have. To help. the City is offering basic tree-care information through both online and in-person workshops, at absolutely no cost.
Tree Workshops: Right Tree, Right Location
Join an in-person information session on how to choose the Right Tree for the Right Location, and learn how to plant and care for a new tree in your yard. The information sessions are approximately 1.5 hours long and feature a Q&A session with an Urban Forestry Technician who will offer advice and answer any tree-related questions or concerns. Space at each session is limited and the content at each session will be the same; please sign up for one session only.
Workshops will take place from early March to early April. More information on dates and locations, as well as links to register for a workshop can be HERE.
